Kiln | Casting Update
I have some sad news to report about our kiln…I replaced the coils this morning and had it up and running. I programed it to complete the burnout of the flasks that were in before and something bad happened when I was away. I don’t know what that was, but the program box is now dead and I do not have the expertise to fix it now. Jewelry 2|3 students should turn in wax models (complete) for the final critique and grading.
Reviews are over (as of 2pm)
SPRs in the JMTL studio are now complete. Have at it.
Front Studio Closed Tomorrow
The main studio will be closed tomorrow for Specialization Reviews. We have reviews from 9:30am-4:00pm. You can work in the back studio (no loud hammering). Please enter through the back door and if you need tools from the front studios, wait until there are breaks to collect. Be respectful of those presenting. Thank you!!!!!
NEED A MONITOR ON SUNDAY 4/22!!!!
We need a monitor tomorrow. If you plan to be in the studio please email me and let me know when. Jewelry 1 and Intro have final projects due on Monday and need to work…our scheduled monitor cancelled. PLEASE HELP! The shift can be divided up….let me know!

Weekend Burnout and casting session!
I will run a burnout tomorrow (Saturday) night to cast Sunday evening.
To be in the burnout, you will need to load your flask and have invested no later than 9 pm (kiln to fire at 11pm). The casting will begin Sunday evening at 5pm. The next scheduled burnout will be on Sunday night.
Please mark your flask with the metal that you are casting (Br=bronze and Al=Aluminum).
